Synopsis: Time is short for Joan Ames (Merle Oberon). Suffering from a terminal illness, she has only weeks to live and has decided to spend her remaining days traveling the globe. While on a cruise ship back to America, she meets and falls in love with Dan Hardesty (George Brent). Joan doesn't want to ruin their romance by telling him the truth about her illness, but what Joan doesn't know is that Dan's time is limited too; he's a convicted criminal being sent back to America to face his execution.
