Synopsis: Faith Hubley's master work of animation is an imaginative feast for the eyes. The Cosmic Eye is lively, inventive, playful and thought provoking. The film involves a trio of space musicians, homeward bound in their space boat, "The Cosmic Eye." Suffering from acute nostalgia, they decide to take a spin over to the Milky Way and take a look in on Earth. The trio manages to view several films, including ones about our wish for contact with life in the cosmos and yearning for peace. The space musicians respond sympathetically to Earth's predicament. They decide to help.
This is an astounding, absolutely spell-binding work of animation, painstakingly produced in a highly original format. It's like Paul Klee paintings come to life: a delight for eyes and ears.
